Walt Disney World Magical Express
One of the many benefits of staying at a Walt Disney World Resort is the free airport shuttle- The Magical Express.
You can leave the driving to Disney and avoid lines like these. I took this picture of the car rental lines on a Sunday night at 7:00 during a non-holiday weekend in October.
Today I will show you what to expect when you arrive at the Orlando airport. For more information on how to schedule Magical Express service to your resort and from your resort back to the airport, please visit our Magical Express page.
When you exit your plane, you will immediately see signs directing you to Disney’s Magical Express located in the “B”side of the airport, level 1.
It is a bit of walk, so keep following the signs.
When you reach the Disney Magical Express Welcome Center, a Disney Cast Member will be there to greet you. If you do not have a Magic Band or paper ticket, you will need to stand in line at the ticket counter.
A Cast Member will scan your Magic Band or paper ticket. . .
. . . and direct you to the appropriate line.
If the lines are long, you can pass the time watching Disney TV.
You will wait in line until a Disney Cast Member directs you to your bus.
Your driver will stow luggage and strollers under the bus for the trip to your resort. At the resort he will unload them and have them ready for you when you depart the bus.
Usually the bus is filled completely before departing. Sit back, relax, and you will soon be on the road for your approximately 30 minute trip to Disney World. You may want to grab a seat with a view of the TV screens in case the video feed is working during your trip. It is also fun to talk to your fellow passengers and find out where they are from.
